Description
ABS is an engineering plastic: it takes impact, heat and mechanical load better than PLA or PETG, sands well and can be smoothed with acetone vapour.
Traektoriya 3D spools: 1.75 mm, 1 kg, made in Russia.
ABS shrinks as it cools, so it is printed in an enclosed printer on a heated bed. Printing settings are in the ABS guide; exact temperatures are on the spool label.
Recommended use
Enclosures, mounts, parts near heat sources, functional prototypes, parts meant for post-processing.
Limitations
Needs an enclosure and a heated bed, otherwise the print warps. It smells while printing - ventilate the room. Yellows over time in direct sun; ASA is the better choice outdoors.
