Description

PETG (glycol-modified polyethylene terephthalate) combines the printing ease of PLA with strength close to ABS.

Why PETG:

  • it bends before it breaks;
  • it holds up against moisture, weak acids and alkalis;
  • it barely shrinks, so large parts stay on size;
  • no enclosure required.

Exact printing temperatures are on the spool label - they differ between manufacturers and between colours.

Recommended use

Functional parts, enclosures, brackets, containers, outdoor fittings, prototypes that will be loaded.

Limitations

Stringing is the usual PETG trait and needs retraction tuning. Dry the filament before printing. Not suitable for sustained high temperatures.
