Description
PETG (glycol-modified polyethylene terephthalate) is what you reach for when the part has to work, not just look good.
Why PETG:
- it bends before it breaks, unlike PLA;
- it holds up against moisture, weak acids and alkalis;
- it barely shrinks while printing, so large parts stay on size;
- no enclosure required.
PLASKO manufactures its filament in Russia, in the Chelyabinsk region. Exact printing temperatures are on the spool label - they differ between colours.
Recommended use
Functional parts, enclosures, brackets, food-contact containers, outdoor fittings, prototypes that will be loaded.
Limitations
Stringing is the usual PETG complaint: retraction needs tuning. Dry the filament before printing, it absorbs moisture. Not suitable for sustained temperatures above 70-80 °C.
